Our Location (travel, delivery fees, parking, mileage)
- Atomic Dolly & Crane Rentals is located in Norwalk Connecticut (about 45 miles from New York City). Although the majority of our work is done in Manhattan, our location gives us easy access to your locations in Connecticut, upstate New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, & Rhode Island. We work "local" in Manhattan and do not charge travel or delivery fees to locations that are within 50 miles from our office if an operator is delivering equipment (there are some exceptions, and these can be discussed at the time of booking). When equipment is transported, mileage is billed at .35/mile beyond 100 miles per day. If equipment is transported, fees for parking, and tolls are billed as encountered.

- Special note about Jimmy Jib/Triangle camera crane rentals:
- As is mentioned throughout our website, Stanton Jimmy Jib & Triangle Cranes are extremely portable and therefore, very easy to check as baggage on most airlines. Getting an operator & crane to a distant location is easier than you might think. If it is not practical to ship a jib to location, we can make arrangements to have one dropped off locally, which we will build and operate for you. We have access to a extensive network of jibs throughout the world. Clients who trust our 11 year jib experience are much more likely to fly us to location than gamble on an operator that they might pick-up locally.

- We supply dollies, cranes and operators to all types of production. Whether you are shooting a feature, corporate video, documentary, television show, concert or commercial we have the experience. We've worked on them all! If you are coming in from out-of-town and need other production resources in the area (like lighting and grip, a sound department, teleprompters) please let us know. We can put you in touch with some of the most experienced crew and reliable equipment in the northeast.

- The prices listed on this site for equipment are for general budgeting purposes. After using this website to become familiar with our company, please contact us for a firm quote on the equipment and services that you require. The pricing on this website is subject to change without notice.

- Equipment Delivery
- In general, most of the equipment we offer is delivered to location by the operator. If a production company is simply renting an accessory or minor piece of equipment (tripod head, dolly accessories, hi-hat, etc.) a delivery fee may be charged, and this fee will be disclosed at the time of booking. Of course, most of the equipment we offer can also be picked up.

- Sales Tax
- Sales tax is only charged on rented equipment to production companies that have offices in Connecticut or on equipment that is used in the state of Connecticut (regardless of where the production company is located).
- Sales tax is not charged if the production company is able to provide a current "State of Connecticut Resale Certificate".
- Connecticut sales tax is currently 6.5%

- Hiring an "Owner/Operator"
- Atomic Dolly & Crane Rentals is not a rental house. Operators that work with our equipment own the equipment.

- Usually, an owner/operator's equipment is in much better shape than a rental house's because the operator is working with this gear everyday and knows if a repair needs to be made
Because an owner/operator works with the equipment everyday they know the equipment they are using inside and outAs owner/operators' we are able to concentrate our efforts in one area. We specialize in camera motion.
The more we know about your job, the better we can help you execute your camera moves
Before showing up on the job you can talk to the person operating the equipment, and let them know about specific shots you would like to get. We will then be able to provide the exact equipment needed to the job.
